If you're setting pay for a full-time customer-service opening in Quebec, check the full-time figures before using the overall average.
For the occupation Statistics Canada calls Other customer and information services representatives, average pay offered fell slightly: $22.60 an hour in Q2 2025 to $22.45 in Q2 2026.
Full-time offers went the other way, rising from $22.95 to $23.45 an hour. Part-time offers also rose a little, from $19.00 to $19.05.
The mix of jobs helps explain the difference. Part-time openings, which offered lower pay, made up roughly 22% of vacancies, compared with 9% a year earlier. More of those jobs pulled the overall average down. The part-time counts are less reliable, so treat the size of that shift as an estimate.
For a full-time opening in this occupation, $23.45 is the more useful provincial reference. The $22.45 average includes part-time jobs too. Check the figures for the kind of job you're filling before changing your offer.
